Founding Story

In March 2011, shortly after the Great East Japan Earthquake, we held LANLAN's 10th anniversary ceremony amid a subdued, self-restrained atmosphere.
The economic environment around LANLAN had changed dramatically since its founding, making it increasingly difficult to secure strong talent. For two to three years, we conducted site visits to countries such as Cambodia and Myanmar, considering our next move. However, none proved to be an ideal fit, and we found ourselves at an impasse.
Amid these challenges, a former joint venture partner whom we had invited to the LANLAN ceremony-now a highly influential Vietnamese government official-offered to introduce us to opportunities within Vietnam. It was a timely and invaluable offer.
We promptly conducted extensive inspections across Vietnam and decided to build a factory in the Yen Thanh district. From there, we addressed various challenges one by one, while training personnel at LANLAN over a two-year period, leading to the factory's opening in May 2013.
